New Zealand Indoor Sports Incorporated (NZISI) is the governing body acting in the best interests of those participating in both Indoor Cricket and Indoor Netball in New Zealand.

Indoor Cricket and Indoor Netball are played in 30 indoor sports arenas around New Zealand. There are 8 arenas in Auckland, 2 in North Shore City, 2 in Hamilton, 1 in Mount Maunganui, 1 in Napier, 2 in Palmerston North, 1 in New Plymouth, 5 in Wellington, 1 in Nelson, 5 in Christchurch, 1 in Timaru and 1 in Dunedin. Both sports are played on a social level which then can lead onto representing the local arena in one of three Regional Superleagues.

This means that players are selected by their respective clubs to represent their arena to play against clubs based at other arenas within their own region.
New Zealand Indoor Sport has been divided geographically into 3 regions as follows:

• Northern Region: From Taupo to the very top of the North Island
• Central Region: The rest of the North Island
• Southern Region: The South Island

Superleagues for both sports are organised and governed by the individual regions and played between clubs, generally on a home and away basis at the different arenas based in that region. Superleague Indoor Cricket is played between April and September and Superleague Indoor Netball is played between October and March.

From these Superleagues, each region will select their Regional representative teams to participate in New Zealand Tri-Series. This is the "flag ship" event for indoor sports and doubles as trials for selection for International honours. The final event for Indoor Cricket and Indoor Netball clubs are Club Nationals where clubs representing their arenas from around New Zealand challenge for the title of club Champions. The venue for these events is nominated by New Zealand Indoor Sports and allocated to each of the regions on a rotational basis.
