A Summary:  A game takes place between two teams and each team consists of 8 players.  Each player bats for a partnership of 4 overs and if dismissed instead of having to leave the crease to no longer participate, the batters remain to face their allotted 4 overs, but the batting partnership loses 5 runs for each dismissal. Runs are scored through running and bonus points awarded at different levels when the ball is hit to different sections of the nets that enclose the court... Each player bowls 2 overs each and fields for all 16 overs in a fully netted court of 28 metres long by 11 metres wide totally closed in! The ball is always live unless a dismissal has taken place, or the over comes to an end or the umpire rules time out!

So, all the skill sets of the traditional game are used... Batting, bowling and fielding and each player gets to participate in all aspects ... This is great for the off-season from the traditional game as Indoor Cricket provides great practise for the experienced player and as importantly for the young cricketer it allows them to have a go at everything and to learn the skills and mechanics of batting, bowling and fielding…and the game does not get affected by the weather, because it is Indoor Cricket!
