To foster the future development of Indoor Sports in New Zealand, NZIS is currently developing SPARC endorsed coaching and umpiring programmes specific to Indoor Cricket and Indoor Netball. NZIS believes a high standard of coaching and umpiring is important in every level of sport – from junior participation to the development of high performance athletes.
The first NZ Indoor Netball Umpiring course rolled out in February 2008, presented by Nadine Puha (NZ Indoor Netball Umpiring Director). Thank you to all participants who took part in this course!... As a guideline, levels for NZ Indoor Netball Umpiring Accreditation is as follows:
Level 4: Nationals (Silver) / Internationals (Gold)
Level 3: Superleague
Level 2: 'In House'
Level 1 Introductory
Following completion of a course (following theoretical and practical assessment), the participant will become an NZIS accredited coach or umpire, and be on NZIS’ database of active coaches and umpires.
