ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
	Please be advised that in the coming weeks, the board will notify all members of our upcoming AGM scheduled for late June in Auckland. Also as part of our mandatory requirements, the board will also be calling for the following: Independent Directors x 2 Chairperson Notices of Motions A copy of the Annual Report and audited Statements of Financial Performance and Financial Position will also be circulated to all members.
ANNUAL SPARC SURVEY
	Please be advised that in the next week or two I will be circulating our Annual SPARC Survey requesting participation numbers so that I can fulfill our funding and reporting requirements with SPARC. It is extremely important that all members participate in order for NZISI to at the very least, maintain our current annual funding of $117,500.
INDEPENDENT BOARD DIRECTOR TO STEP DOWN
	After four years, Nigel Stirling will be stepping down at our AGM in June. Nigel, a partner at Gibson Sheat Lawlink and a director of many sporting and business organizations, has been outstanding in his contribution to New Zealand Indoor Sports. While on the board, Nigel has given his valuable time and expert advice for the betterment of NZISI. His professional manner and experience at an executive board level will be surely missed. Nigel leaves with our sincere thanks and gratitude.
SPARC
	Over the last few months, the general manager with the assistance of our netball and cricket executive officers have submitted to SPARC an application for Campaign Funding for the Indoor Cricket World Cup. We are awaiting a decision. In addition to the above, we will be preparing our three year Business Plan for submission to SPARC by 30 June 2004. Our Business Plan will incorporate the following: 1. National Body Funding - increase in the level of national office funding 2. Coaching Programme - funding assistance to establish an internal coaching programme 3. Umpires Programme - funding assistance to establish an internal umpires programme 4. Junior Development Programme - funding assistance to establish a junior development programme to roll out to schools nationwide

NETBALL NEWS
6 A-SIDE & 7 A-SIDE INDOOR NETBALL CLUB NATIONALS?
	At our recent board meeting, the idea of a 6 a-side national tournament held in the North Island and a 7 a-side national tournament held in the South Island was tabled. The concept will be forwarded to the regions for comments and feedback. Points for discussion: All clubs would be entitled to participate in both tournaments How many teams will support both tournaments? Preferred dates so that tournaments do not clash We will keep you posted on developments
WORLD CUP NETBALL SELECTION EVENT
	Selection for the Indoor Netball World Cup in South Africa 2005 will be made at our national Tri-Series in October 2004. Teams to be selected will include Open Ladies, Open Mixed, Open Men's and 21 and Under Ladies
SUCCESSFUL NETBALL CLUB CHAMPS
	What about that Over 35's Final! After three days of competition and finals, the tournament ended with a dossie of a night - or should a say morning for some. The success of the tournament can be put down to Leigh and Graham Kelly of Action Valley and their tireless staff headed by Ange Coffey and Ronnie Isaac. Congratulations on an excellent tournament enjoyed by all.
